Meet Our 4th Grade Teacher

Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Emily Short, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I graduated from Boston College and have experience in second and third grade. I am participating in the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program. As an ACE teacher, I am working on my Master’s in Education and participating in a faith-filled community with other ACE teachers across the country. I grew up in Minnesota, and I have 5 siblings and 6 nieces and nephews. When I’m not at school I love getting outside in nature and trying new foods. I am eager to explore everything Corpus Christi has to offer!

I am looking forward to teaching language arts, reading, math, social studies, science, and religion. My goal is to create a classroom that is a productive, positive, and welcoming learning space where your children feel safe, comfortable, and motivated to learn. Fourth grade is an amazing year of maturing where students can become leaders in the school. I feel so blessed to be joining your school community and cannot wait to get to know you and your students this year!
