Meet Mrs. Chris Bryan
About Me
I have had the honor of teaching most of my students when they were in PK or in Music Class in the last few years; and, I am looking forward to having them again this year.
I was blessed to go to Catholic Schools from first grade through twelfth grade. This gave me a great background in religion as well as an amazing academic education. After graduating from Marshall University with a BA in Education and teaching one year in Kentucky at Holy Family, In 1986 I came to Corpus Christi to teach at St. Pius X.
During my time at St. Pius X I went to A & M Kingsville to get my Masters in Early Childhood Education. I have given in services for our Diocese over the years, and also have taken many in services. These classes have addressed many different levels as well as many different objectives. I feel that it is not only important but necessary for educators to constantly update their knowledge in the areas of religion, technology, math, science, language arts, and child development and behavior to name just a few.
My own personal children (Mitch, Richard, and Jessica) went to St. Pius X from PK3 to 6th. This gave me another view of our school, that of parent. I have seen my children grow in their faith formation as well as their academics. I couldn't have picked a better school for them to attend during their Elementary years.
My philosophy of education is that learning should be fun, hands on, and informative. I challenge my students to do their best as they learn through many different platforms. Our students will be challenged to learn using stations, across the curriculum themes, technology, and many more fun-filled strategies to gain knowledge of our objectives. With all of us giving 100 % our students will soar!
