Mrs. Roberts' Enriched K-3rd Grade Reading Page

 

I am grateful to be at St. Pius X Catholic School now for the seventh year! The wonderful opportunity to be the Enriched Reading teacher for 1st-3rd grades at St. Pius X came to me in the 2017- 2018 school year. I had just retired from public school after 24 years. I had taught fourth grade and special education for 1st - 6th grade.  I had been a mentor teacher, had student teachers, and worked with district level curriculum writing. I had been a chairperson, given a few workshops, and even been a campus Teacher of the Year once.  I had loved teaching and wondered "what's next?"    Now, I am looking forward to 23-24's new reading adventures at St Pius X in Kinder through 3rd Grade!

 

 

I have a BFA in Studio Art from University of Texas, 1976.  I received Elementary Teacher Certification in 1993 from CCSU. I earned Special Education Certification in1998 and National Board Teacher Certification in 2007.  I also received Google Educator Certification Level 1 in 2021.
