Dear Parents,
The ministry of Catholic education is the fulfillment of the educational mission of the Catholic Church. Its primary goal is the continuous formation of the Christian person. The mission of St. Pius X Catholic School is to provide life-long learning in core values of spiritual, moral, academic and physical development in a Catholic environment.
The school accomplishes its mission by providing a strong and challenging curriculum, integrated with Gospel values. Most can attest to the fact that the safe and loving environment provided by the teachers and staff enables children to grow and flourish spiritually, morally, academically and physically.
Three years ago, the U.S. Department of Education designated our school as a Blue Ribbon School. This national recognition is given to schools that are deemed “national models of excellence.” In his letter of commendation to us, Governor Rick Perry stated, “In earning this grand recognition, you have demonstrated your commitment to being among the best of the best.”
St. Pius X Catholic School is indeed among the “best of the best.” It was chosen for this prestigious educational award because of its consistently high standardized test scores, a developmentally-appropriate early childhood program, enriched reading and math classes, a strong religious education program, and an outstanding physical education program. All of these are part of our school’s success. Factor in outstanding teachers and involved, supportive parents who work together as a team, and you have a Blue Ribbon school. We are committed to continuing this tradition of excellence for as long as our doors stay open.
